What is a Duvet?
Let's make this simple. It is a large cover to put your comforter into. It will protect your comforter from dust, dirt and helps on keeping the wear of your comforter to a minimum. It allows you to redecorate and change the theme of your bedroom in an instant. Duvets give you the flexibility to add color, texture and excitement back into your bedroom. Then just accessorize with a wide array of accessories.

What is a Comforter?
Comforters are usually a printed shell with a solid or coordinating back that is filled with polyester. A comforter does not go to the floor like a bedspread. It just covers the sides and end of your mattress. The box spring has a bed skirt (dust ruffle) which coordinates to the comforter. Shams and decorators pillows are used to accessories.

What is a Bed Skirt or Dust Ruffle?
The Bed Skirt or Dust Ruffle are tailored or ruffled fabric that will cover your box spring on three sides. They are used to give your bed that finished look.

What is a Quilt?
Quilts come in a wide array of patterns. You can also purchase your quilt to match your comforter and accessories. It is made of an assortment of fabric solids and prints sewn together and is much lighter than your comforter. The fill varies by style from either a cotton fill to a polyester fill. It is reversible usually to a solid back.  The quilt helps on the wear and tear of your comforter without losing the decorator look you have created. When you are not using your quilt you can display it on a quilt rack or to keep warm on those cold nights while reading or watching a movie.

What are Pillow Shams?
Pillow Shams fit over your pillow. They are usually either have a ruffled trim or more of a tailored look. Pillow Shams come in three sizes; standard is 20" X 26", King size is 20" X 36", and the Euro Sham is 26" X 26".

What is Memory Foam Toppers?
Memory Foam mattress topper could be the answer to all those restless nights of sleep. It recognizes your shape, pressure points and adjusts to fit your body. Originally developed by NASA researchers, memory foam was designed to make long trips more comfortable for astronauts. Memory Foam relaxes according to warmth of your body and dynamics. It softens and conforms to the body, creating the sensation of floating.

What is a California King?
A California King or Cal-King size is a longer and narrower king size mattress. Usually found on the west coast. It measures 72" X 84".

What is Thread Count?
Thread count is used to gauge the quality of fabric. It is the amount of threads within a square inch that are crosswise and lengthwise in that inch of fabric. The more threads per square inch the higher the thread count. Giving it a softer, stronger feel and a great night of sleep. Your better linens have high thread counts in their sheets. There is nothing like the experience of a 500 Thread count sheets. Percale sheets start at 180 thread count and go up. We recommend that if you want to experience the great feel of a higher thread count sheets buy 200 thread count or higher.

What is Percale?
Percale is a softer and stronger cloth that gives you a smooth feel to the touch. Percale fabrics start at 180 threads per square inch. However many designers tend to use a higher thread count percale for their bedding.

What is Cotton?
Cotton fabric is a cooler fabric to sleep on and is softer than a polyester/cotton blend counter part. It allows the fabric to breathe giving you that great night of sleep you desire.

What is Egyptian Cotton?
This cotton comes from the Egypt, the Nile River Valley. It is considered to the best cotton in the world. It is uses the strongest and longest fibers giving you the softest feel possible. Many of your designers use Egyptian cotton in their top quality linens. We recommend the Egyptian cotton as a fabric that you won't forget.

What is Polyester?
You will find that polyester or a polyester/cotton blend in much of the linens on the market. It gives vibrant colors and tends to need less attention because it doesn't wrinkle or shrink as easy as its cotton counterpart.

What is Sateen?
It is a process that puts more threads per square inch on the surface of the fabric. It is said to be one of the softest and best sheets made.
